People label others autistic when they notice characteristics of those people differ from their own.
Autistic people are said to have an extraordinary focus on unimportant things. Successful people tend to get lumped into this group due to their extraordinary focus on things that seem unimportant to the layman.
The layman is not equipped to differentiate important from unimportant things. Important things solve problems for other people and sometimes requires immediate attention.
Most people are laymen. They don't finish tasks in a timely manner or solve problems for others. Most people extract value without giving back and sometimes create problems in the process. People that solve problems have opposing attributes to the layman.
Labeling someone as autistic for their devoted focus towards important things does not reduce their credibility for solving problems. The attempt to imply that autism is the reason for someone's success is asinine and only demonstrates that you are attempting to mask their superiority.
